Ribera wine
Our wines
Comenge
Comenge is elaborated with the grape variety Tempranillo from 15 estates scattered through the municipalities of Curiel de Duero and Pesquera, in the heart of the Ribera Del Duero region. The heterogeneity of the vineyard’s terroir and its orientation towards the sun are reflected in the wine’s singular character for each vintage. After a careful selection of clusters and grapes individually, the wine remains in French (85%) and American (15%) oak barrels during 12/14 months. It is a clean, fresh, round wine from the first moment and of a great aromatic complexity. A wine made to show all the elegance of which the Duero cultivated Tempranillo is capable.
Don Miguel Comenge.
Don Miguel Comenge is elaborated completely with the grapes coming from our “Pago de las Hontanillas”, estate of bearly 3 hectares (3,4 acres) planted on the driest limestone slopes of “Pesquera de Duero”. The peculiar aromatic character of the grapes coming from this parcel invites us to make this singular wine. During its long elaboration (between 18 and 22 months) only new French oak barrels are used. This wine characterizes by its intense color and its great aromatic bouquet, full power of fruit, floral shades, with aromas of scrubland, cacao, spices, tobacco… A pleasurable wine.
