The Comenge Winery

Far from the sway fashions, the objective of Bodegas Comenge is to make a great wine, distinguished, unique, different from the rest; a complex wine that combines power, elegance, character, smoothness, flavor; a wine that gets its character from the earth, its climate, and the Tempranillo Grape variety.

The characteristics of each vine and the expression of each variety dictates the time that the wine must remain in the barrel. The vineyards define the different wines, since each seek excellence in an individual way. Thus, every year is different, giving rise to different vintages that maintain their own style.

In Bodegas Comenge, we have a limited grape production for the elaboration of an authentic wine with properties that reflect the true character of our terroir. The present production capacity is of 150,000 bottles, a number that marks the productive limit. These are few bottles as the content is carefully chosen. We know that the selection of the grapes and the control of the production are key to maintaining the uniformity of the quality year after year. Because of this we control every step of the elaboration process, from the care of the grapevine, to the bottling, with total dedication. As a result, our wines are ready to enjoy from the moment they arrive ¡at the market; round, velvety, harmonic. To be ready to enjoy during the coming years, one must take special care in the bottling and corking in order to guarantee the wine’s correct and natural evolution.
