On March 13th, Bodegas Comenge was pleased to participate with our wines at the opening of a painting exhibition of the artist Irene Lopez de Castro.
Under the title "Reflections of Niger," our international artist delights us this time in Spain with her paintings inspired by her long travels through Mali. A beautiful collection that takes us back to the Africa she knows, its colors and lights, faces and gestures of the people, the concerns and landscapes in that world, visions of villages drawn on a clear horizon, boats stranded in sand or sailing calmly through the immensity of a river that seems a miracle in the desert. Irene's painting captures masterfully planned and the fury and the texture of the African light and the reasons she chooses transpire an intense love for the continent and its people.
The exhibition will remain on display until April 25, 2010 in the gallery Nolde (Navacerrada, Madrid).
